Yes, my best friend and older sister Erin and her husband Jared welcomed a perfect little boy into the world on February 20, 2009.  He came early in the morning at 12:18 weighing 8 pounds and was 21 inches long.  I have been waiting for what seems like my whole life for this little guy to get here, and now that he has arrived he is well worth the wait. He is so beautiful, he has a full head of dark hair and is as alert as can be.  I have spent the majority of the last 2 days in and out of the hospital visiting as much as they will allow, I am sure I over extended my welcome while she was still in labor, but i just cant resist! You know who else cant resist is Scott!  It was so funny right after Sawyer was born everyone who was waiting outside came in to see him and I am not kidding everywhere that little baby went Scott followed. He was right there following him as he was passed from grandparent to grandparent and all his uncles and Aunts. I was trying to take pictures and I had to keep telling Scott to move cause he was in every single shot. He is so cute, he just looked at me and said, “well if you would give me one of my own I wouldnt have to obsess over someone elses.” He loves kids so much and is so great with them, one day he will make an amazing father!

This picture was taken just minutes after he was born, his poor little face is still all red and swollen

This is the next morning…isnt he just to die for!?!

Look at all that hair it makes for a perfect little fohawk.

He seriously is the best baby, he is so content and mellow.

He just chills and lets everyone just goo and gaw.

I am so proud to be the aunt of such a perfect little boy. I already love every single little ounce of him and cant wait to spoil him like crazy! DIBS…I get to babysit first!

I just have to add this pic because as you can see these are Jared’s parents who were just made grandparents and lo and behold they have a little friend looking over their shoulder for their first photo with the baby…Scott!

Ok, so spelling is not one of my strengths!

I was just reading over my last post and had to edit like 7 things…pathetic! There were like two sentences that didn’t even make sense like, “Our dinner all set for a valentine dinner.” Are you kidding me? I will openly admit that spelling is a huge weakness of mine, well actually reading too so those combined I am probably as competent as a 1st grader. (maybe that is even giving me too much credit, my nephew Breaden is in the first grade and can definitely out read me!)  So this is a formal apology for all of you who read this blog… Ples fergiv me, I am a horibl writr and candt spel fer the lif of me!

Love is in the Air

Scott and I enjoyed an incredible weekend of fine dining, red roses, and Valentines lovin. We started a fun tradition when we were dating that we would go out on the town for a Valentines dinners on the 13th and then stay in and make dinner for eachother on the 14th.  This is Scott and I’s 3rd Valentines Day together, we can hardly believe that it has been that long! Our first Valentines spent together was before we were even engaged, Scott took me to the lovely Chefs Table in Provo and then I cooked for him the next night…lets just say that meal did not turn out the way I had planned…it was terrible! The next year it was our first Valentines being married (I had it easy cause all I had to do was pick a restaurant, no cooking involved) we went out to Cafe Molise then Scott impressed me by making a delicious curry dish.

As for this year, Valentines Day did not disappoint.  Scott took me out to the amazing Tuscany, I had never been there before and it was absolutely delicious! I must recommend the Banana Creme Pie, the bananas were caramelized and each serving is an individual pie…one word…divine! On Valentines we went out to a matinee with my sister Erin and her husband Jared, “He’s Just Not That Into You.” As for dinner it was up to me to redeem myself from my first catastrophic Valentines dinner.  I pulled through with some sirloin steaks, fresh green beans, mashed red potatoes, and creme brulee for dessert.  Scott and I then exchanged gifts, SURPRISE, we got eachother the exact same gift…lift tickets to Snowbird. We laughed so hard, we are way too much alike:)  Another plus is that the 15th was our 1.5 anniversary…very exciting!  I am so proud to call Scott my husband and my Valentine, I love him with all of my heart.

Our Table all set for a Valentines Dinner!

I have to brag a little bit, these are some of the place settings from the dishes my sweet mom got me for Christmas. Arent they fabulous!?! Yes, I LOVE them!

Happy Valentines Everyone, I hope you had a great day.
